The first mini-laptop Toshiba is fairly predictable on the whole. The Toshiba NB100 has a 8.9-inch glossy display with 1024×600 resolution, comes with a choice of XP or Ubuntu Linux, has a Webcam, microphone, WiFi, Bluetooth (no 3G yet), up to 120GB hard drive and of course an Intel Atom processor.
So maybe Toshiba have identified what is a netbook, but what is the difference? Toshiba, have already an impressive number ofLaptops, including the Toshiba Portégé R500-10U, and are keen to keep their brand and build quality go hand in hand. Therefore, Toshiba claims, people buy the NB100 - because it is a laptop Toshiba Mini.
